Gary Dierking is building his Va'a Motu at an inspiring pace. The main canoe hull and the akas have already seen the light of the sun. The ama is, however, still under constuction.
The dark, red hull topsides, in contrast the sand-colored deck and white akas, look really pleasing to me. I'm eager to see this tacking outrigger sailing. According to plans it will carry an unusual junk rig.
