Arpex parking spot

Arpex has a place to park now. All I need now is the chance to get 2 or 3 days free, in order to get the boat together, and bring it to its place.

A Safe Heaven

One thing that has been in my mind in the last few weeks, is my concern about where to leave my boat once it is in the water.
Yesterday I did a important step forward in the right direction. I met a couple of guys who live on a boat, and who are able to provide support for boats moored in the bay.

Last few steps...

The last few steps towards the completion of the boat, and final launching have been difficult for me. It is a mixture between a couple of complex steps, time limitation, and a lack for a place to leave the boat once it is in the water... And maybe also a certain amount of fear for leaving my baby out into the hostile environment.
But, despite the scant postings, and apparent stand still, I am doing small steps. But invisible to most. Like preparation of the registration documents. Like sounding for possibilities to leave the boat. And like attaching of fairleads on the bow.
Those of you who have a little patience to wait, will see the boat in the water soon.

A day on the water

This is how my hard work on the Arpex project looked like, yesterday.
The boat is almost ready, but now I don't have a place to leave it! MY planned location, Clube Guanabara, now told me, that there is no free space, that I would have to make do with a waiting list! Can you believe that? Now chatting away with Fred, from TikiRio, was very good in terms of preparing my mindset for launching, and to believe that everything will sort itself out, once the boat is in the water.
