Back in Abu Dhabi

After a pretty short period in Berlin, I'm back in Abu Dhabi. This weekend the month of Ramadan will start. This might get interesting. Ramadan is the Muslim month of fasting, in which Muslims refrain from dawn until sunset from eating, drinking, and sexual relations. Thankfully, foreigners are allowed to eat, and we can get food in the hotel.

While trifling rain falls over a cold, wet and uneasy Berlin, I long for my girl.

Old pictures from the files

My current stay in Berlin has been somewhat bogged down by a terrible cold, which has struck me down the last two days. Cold weather and driving rain has also contributed to me being restricted to the domains of my hotel room. One of my pastimes is to watch old pictures. A part of them cover the construction of Arpex, naturally. Whithin the files, there are quite a few images, of course, which get forgotten, or are filtered out by my editing. However, they do offer a different angle, which some might be worth looking at, as I have been doing lately.

Ok.
I have reopened the blog. After a short period of some 2 weeks, during which I have set the privacy options of the blog for private access only, I have decided it was more fun, when this was an open space.

Also, basically, because I missed it, myself. My initial intention was to continue the aprex.blogspot as a private diary. As a purely private space. However, the idea to write to myself only, without the exposure to others, without the concept of sharing information to others, took a great deal out of the appeal of writing.
The temporary closure was a funny experiment, for sure. It gave me a different perspective on the blog-writing activity.

One thing is different now. I will just relax concerning the non boat-construction related posting. I will report on the boat construction whenever there is something to report. And if there is nothing new going on related to that side, I'll just post away on whatever my interest is. In a way,... not much different than before, really, if I think about it.
