I have been sorting things out, in preparation of the launch. Questions like, where to leave the boat needed to be addressed. Now that it is, I need to find a solution to get to the boat, once it is at its mooring in Urca Beach. A small tender is the answer.
Rogerio, from TikiRio was so kind to offer me a small tender he has built. Unfortunately it has suffered a lot from exposion. To a degree that I think it might be lost love to try to refurbish. Maybe a glassfiber tender would be the better choice for a tender which will be sitting exposed on the beach for its lifetime... Trying to find an old Optimist hull, might also answer.
Ideally I would like to custom build a small box-shaped hull the would fit on my deck platform, right in between the akas. to bad the space only leaves room for a tender with 1.75meters length Which is rather short. Rogerios tender has 2.20meters. Which seems like a very good length.
Since I will have to travel next week, I have also decided to leave the launch for after my 3 week trip. It would do no good to launch my boat, put it on the new mooring, and disappear for the next 3 weeks. So, only October , in the soonest, will see Aprex in the water.
