
A Canadian researcher has built a model which allows him to simulate the development of ocean's currents on our globe. This is not a very easy task considering that our planet is a shpere, which spinns around its own achsis. Variations in tempreratures and obsatcles given by landmasses are additional complicators to this model. But it seems that he has done a fine job.
What has brought all this to my attention, and I'm not too much of a friend of complex mathematical models, are the interesting images that the model produces. Like the one above.
