Here is a new, modern interpretation of a proa. It is called "Harriette", and it is designed by Rob Denney, maybe the most prolific proa designer of these days, beside Gary Dierking. This one was built by Doug Haines, in Australia. Just launched - Looks good to me.Image by Doug

Doug sent the picture of his boat to the Harryproa discussion group. He just set off on an interesting sailing expedition in North Australian waters with another proa designed by Rob Denney.
